Overview Statement of The Job:

A Senior Consultant plays the crucial role of being the intermediary between Management and the Team. The incumbent is expected to prioritise and focus on designated Client Assignments to ensure the successful delivery of the assignments. Accountable to lead/deliver and perform strategic and specialized duties in the assignment and to manage the client account. Incumbent is also expected to manage and maintain the well-being of the Team and lead Internal business improvements.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and realise client value creation opportunities based on research and analysis activities and an understanding of client visions, performance gaps, and needs.
  • Translate the set strategic direction and business objectives into holistic project / change management strategies and plans.
  • Design and lead project strategies and tools that identify impacts to people, process, policy and / or structures.
  • Constantly strive to deliver distinctive client service by providing leadership and effective completion of project deliverables over project management workload to meet and aspire to exceed client expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with varying layers of key client stakeholder through relationship-building and communications at all stages of the project relevant to his / her role - top management, client, industry peers and partners to enable the smooth delivery of project deliverables.
  • Manage the overall project / programme planning and monitoring for all projects to meet schedule, budget and performance goals - ensuring planned business outcomes are achieved.
  • Drive day-to-day project activities to meet schedule, budget and performance goals - ensuring planned business outcomes are achieved of own self and team members'.
  • Mitigate project risks and resolve complex challenges raised by team to ensure proper resolution.
  • Ensure proper escalations of project risks of complex challenges for next level support to mitigate the risks. Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams in their specific roles & responsibilities with an equal emphasis on developing talent and managing non-performance.
  • Lead and implement continuous quality improvement processes throughout the various projects and programmes, focusing on internal systems / process improvement for the betterment of the organisation.
  • Continuously seek to widen own knowledge circle via research and sharing sessions with teams to provide innovative and new solutions for the organisation.
  • Continuously seek 360 degree feedback to ensure continuous performance improvement.

Requirements :

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years working experience with 3 years in client-facing experience in consulting industry
  • A base level knowledge in business strategy, marketing, finance, operations and data analysis techniques
  • Strong consultative skills, project management skills and change management skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to mentor
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Capable of interacting with individuals across various levels, especially in vendor and client environment
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative and learn proactively
  • Capable to balance being able to work as an individual contributor or in collaborative team environment as and when required
  • Willingness to respectfully challenge or question existing or proposed services/processes when appropriate
  • Consistently project highest degree of integrity and personal ethics
